The short version

This site has no user accounts, no server database, and no cookies. It collects nothing about you, and the numbers you type into a calculator stay in your browser.

Your inputs never leave the page

Every calculation runs as JavaScript inside your own browser. Your height, weight, age, sex, activity level and any measurements you enter are processed on your device and are never transmitted. Closing the tab discards them. This is not a policy promise but a fact about how the site is built — there is no endpoint to send them to.

No accounts, no payment, no email list

There is no sign-up, no paywall, and no newsletter. If your email reaches this site at all, it arrived because you sent it through the contact page, and it is used to reply to you.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. No third-party trackers, no embedded videos, no social widgets, no fonts fetched from a CDN — everything is served from the site's own domain, so loading a page does not tell anyone else you were here.

Server logs

Whoever hosts this site keeps standard web server logs, which typically include an IP address, the page requested, and a timestamp. These are used to keep the site running and are not combined with anything else.

Outbound links

The methodology page links to the original research papers, including on PubMed and the WHO. Following one of those links takes you to a third party with its own privacy policy, and this page does not govern what happens there.

Children

This site is not directed at anyone under 18, and the calculators are not intended for children. See the about page for why teenagers should not set calorie or protein targets from a general tool.

Changes

If this policy changes, the review date at the top of the page moves. If this site ever starts collecting anything, this page changes before it does — that is the point of writing it.
